I can't get too excited over a foam pad, but what I can tell you is that, IMHO, you can't beat Lake Country pads - they work extremely well, and they last forever. I have pads that are 5+ years old and I've never had one fail - no ripping, tearing, balling up, or disintegrating. Plus, more importantly, they do an excellent job. I use the black pad for the waxing step and it produces an excellent, even shine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
