Been milking a bottle of this for years. You don't need much as works really well. Have pulled tar off that degreasers wouldn't touch. Just used it on tree sap that both Zep Orange and CG Bug and Tar didn't do anything. Trix "melted" it almost instantly. 30 sec and a bit of agitation with a microfiber and poof, the sap was gone. Also used it for bugs/sap on my windshield. Worked great and didn't impact my Aquapel at all. For small items like spots on a windshield, I just wet a spot on a microfiber and hold it on for 10-15 sec and wipe.
I still love the reaction of it turning purple when it hits iron. I've even used it on rust spots on concrete. (NOTE: Not a listed use, I have no idea what else it may do to cement) It removes rust stains 100X better than CLR! This is not an exaggeration!
I don't know if there is any benefit to getting just iron-x when you can get this awesome 2 in 1.
I believe I still have an older formula, but it should be noted that it is hard on the sinuses. Not just the smell, although that's nasty, it also caused a bit of burning, even using it outdoors.
