The Rupes 5In Backing Plate is a genuine factory replacement for the backing plate included with the Rupes LHR 15 Mark II Big Foot Random Orbital Polisher. This backing plate is designed specifically for this polisher and is not compatible with other dual action polishers.
The special perforations in this backing plate are designed to create an air flow that helps dissipate any heat generated by polishing. The Velcro on the backing provides an effective anchor for the foam polishing pad.
